bb4f9be48f With the current firmware there's a bug with processing a 480p component signal from a PS2. The XBox1 was lucky enough to have 480p available on most titles already. It's the same as Game1, but adds scanlines to the picture. The zoom settings allow a 1:1 (for 480i/p sources) or a 2:1 (for 240p sources) display using the "Scale x1" mode. Preliminary PAL support is added in firmware 1.06, though the English language option is broken in this firmware. It was very sensitive to noise and produced a shaky sync on it's output. The danger here is that some televisions will stretch the vertical dimension to exactly 1080 pixels instead of 960 (which is a perfect multiple of the 480 lines in NTSC). Dont use SDHC, if you encounter problems.
You simply put the FW folder onto the included Micro-SD card, insert it into the Mini and connect the power adapter to the it. The Marvell can do it. It shows the input resolution, the output resolution, status about the V-sync lock and the sound format (PCM or Bitstream). IMAGEMODE = PICTURE AUTOSCALER = GAME SHARPNESS = 0 or 1 (0 recommended) Set output resolution to 720p or 1080p (if your TV supports it) . You can connect the hub with a sound system or headphones (though you cant adjust volume via Framemeister because the signals come directly from SCART). Over-saturated colours when using 480p output with scanlines - When set to 480p output and using scanlines, some sources have a strange over-saturated picture (see [1] for an example). Assuming that you are using a 1080p panel and you are running an NTSC source into the Framemeister, there are two rules that must be adhered to for the TV to yield good results. The same is true for some of the DVI output modes.
